Spring Hair Trend…
We’ve been seeing dip-dyed hair all over the runways, magazines, and celebrities for Spring and I was so inspired that I decided to try it out using a semi-permanent bright hair dye by Splat in pink (Sweis Inc.). The kit is really easy to use and comes with its own bleaching tools to lighten the hair before applying the pigment.
To get this look, bleach the ends of your hair first by sectioning it and use a tint brush to apply the bleach beginning at the tips and brushing upwards. After the hair is bleached to a medium to light blonde, washed, and dried, it’s time for color. This part can be really messy because the pigment is a liquid, not a cream and you don’t want to end up with a pink splattered bathroom. Just be sure to cover your shoulders with a towel or cape of some sort and take your time applying the color on the ends of your hair.
If the end result is too bright for your taste, just wash your hair a few times with a clarifying shampoo to strip the color.
